The Flour Barrel sells baking ingredients like flour, raisins, nuts, chocolate and more. Their customers include restaurants, home cooks, and the Headwaters program, who get their tripping supplies from them.

The Guelph Farmer’s Market is a market open weekly where you can buy everything from vegetables to dumplings to stained glass and jewelry from local people and farms. It is a great source of local produce from farms such as Zocalo Organics, run by former Headwaters students, and Headwaters gets all sorts of ingredients for Locavore meals from the market.

The Ignatius Jesuit Centre was formerly a Jesuit Centre but is now a centre for community programs, organizations, retreats and farming. You can get a CSA (Community Shared Agriculture) share and get fresh produce each week. The grounds also have a beautiful old-growth forest. Several leaders of community projects came in and spoke to the Headwaters class about their initiatives.

The Unitarian Congregation is not only the place of worship for the Unitarians of Guelph, but also it is a centre for various community events like communities and workshops. During the day, it is the home base for the CELP and Headwaters programs.

The Boathouse is a meeting spot for Guelphites of all ages. It has a tea room, serves ice cream, and you can also rent canoes and kayak to paddle the river. It is a favourite for Headwaters to visit.
