Mukluk Making

We started out the semester by making our mukluks that would be our footwear for winter trip. Janet Ross helped us make them waterproof and durable with canvas and leather, and then we decorated them however we liked.

Winter Trip

Winter trip took us to Algonquin Park for 6 days, where we slept in canvas tents with wood stoves, hauled sleds on snowshoes, and played muklockey. It was an awesome time to spend out in nature with all our new friends.

Forestry Roundtable

We spent time learning about the complicated issue of forestry in Algonquin Park. At the end, we did a roundtable representing all the parties interested in forestry, with debating, discussion and questions.
